Ex-CEO of Yahoo Scott Thompson Claims to Now Have Cancer

Scott Thompson, who was once the President of PayPal and the CEO of Yahoo, is now claiming publicly that he has cancer. Boy, either this is the saddest case of pathological lying or he just got dealt the harshest comeuppance I have ever seen.

Before he left Yahoo, he told the board that he had thyroid cancer. This new development arose right as they were tightening the grips of the investigation into his lying about his credentials.

If you remember, we did an article earlier about how Yahoo Investor Daniel Loeb and his firm Third Point Investment Fund had uncovered the truth, that Scott Thompson had never graduated from Stone Hill College with a degree in computer science, but in fact with a degree in accounting, of all things. At the time he claimed to have graduated, the school did not even offer a degree in Computer Science to be had.

Thompson says that he did not say anything to the board about having cancer because he did not want to announce it publicly, but is now in treatment- for the cancer, not the giant lying monkey on his back.

Third Point Investment Fund, who owns 5.8% of Yahoo, and their leader Daniel Loeb have yet to release a statement, and we will update you when they do.

Do you think that he is telling the truth this time? Let me know in the comments below!

One thing is certain; if he DOES have cancer, I wish him the best and he needs our support, but if this is another lie, I hope he never gets another job in Silicon Valley.
